Another Anna..
I think Tom [Florio] got it right when he said, “She’s not unapproachable. She’s just not available to the people she doesn’t need to be available to. She’s a busy person. She’s got work to do.”

I mean, isn’t knowing where (or with whom) to spend your time a big part of running a successful business? I can’t imagine how many queries she must get in a day and choices need to be made. I have to say I am completely intrigued by Anna Wintour.
Whawhawhaaa???? W Magazine Wants their 15 minutes too..
Apparently camera crews have been trolling the halls of Stefano Tonchi’s new W magazine offices in an effort to recreate the glorious, behind the scenes documentary of the decade, Vogue’s SEPTEMBER ISSUE. Nada people.. this will never fly. Plus, isn’t the first rule of journalism not to do what’s already been done?

This will really drive a point home about who is in the digital game.. Vogue magazine has approximately 5,000 twitter followers, while ELLE has over 300,000, and InStyle has almost 2 MILLION!
Maybe that’s because Vogue doesn’t follow ANYONE!!! Duh- isn’t that the whole point? They must be horrified to even have to think about dabbling with the masses these days.

I find this really interesting because I love Vogue. And I really don’t like InStyle (there I said it!) Maybe people really like InStyle because it seems attainable while Vogue, maybe not so much. But that’s part of why I love it. They’ve never tried to appeal to the every woman or say that this is a way that everyone live. So I guess like any cool girl they don’t feel like they need to play by anyone else’s rules-or be anyone’s follower.
But it does beg the question, can you participate in social media if you can’t be social. Looks like vogue may need to learn to play nice. Hear that Anna Wintour? ; )
I love this, it looks very Lady Gaga to me. I like that Vogue is recognizing that fashion can trickle up and down.
Its kind of unbelieveable that there hasn’t been a black woman on the cover of Vogue’s biggest issue since the 80’s (because that’s just sad), but I’m glad that now that there is one its the lovely, classy Halle Berry. I can’t believe how good she looks. I’m way younger and let’s be real, I don’t look a quarter as good!
I stumbled across the beautiful home of Trevor and Alexis Traina early this morning on VOGUE accompanied by an excellent article by Hamish Bowles. I certainly remember seeing it late last fall, but the pictures instantly struck me just the same. I find this home to be so inspiring.

Elliott Puckette and Hugo Guinness from the New York Times
This picture is positively captivating. It is so Grace Kelly a la To Catch A Thief. Elliott Puckette is a stunning southern (Tennessee native) artist married to the British born artist Hugo Guinness. They live in New York. I…
I was unaware of this artist until I saw the post by Nonsense and Sensibility. The writer is completely correct, these are beautiful pictures. I particularly like the ones in pink because there’s just something about the balance of the colors and the soft shapes to the hard. I’m not an artist or an art critic but I really enjoy it.
You Know You’ve Made It When..
Men’s magazines want you on their cover, even if you’re not a man. Speculation that Jo Calderone (photographed for Men’s Vogue Japan’s September issue) is really LADY GAGA’S alter-ego. We’ll just have to wait until the issue is out next month to find out.

UMM, this doesn’t look like Lady Gaga’s alter ego to me, it looks like AMY WINEHOUSE’s alter ego, just minus the tatoos… What do you think?
