EQUESTRIAN QUESTION: WHAT’S IN A NAME?
If Hermès is the name, then a whole lot we suppose. At least from a price perspective, that is.. WWD reports that their new new fine jewelry line designed by Pierre Hardy and inspired by horse hooves will range in price from $23,675 for a pair of clip-on rose gold and black jade earrings, to $880,000 for a diamond necklace. That makes even a Birkin look cheap.
People keep saying that post recession post fast fashion and post internet fastforward trends the industry “isn’t the same.”
SO what is the new face of fashion. How will the industry thrive and survive in the coming years? What changes need to be made so the industry can continue to cultivate creative people like Alexander McQueen?

You know what I love about quizes (no its not just that it takes me back to reading 17 when I was in jr high)? They really do help you hone your eye for fashion and design.
If I could actually sew I would totally apply to be on the fashion show. Especally since I heard Iman will now be on as a hostess
How can I even describe my anguish at realizing that this skirt didn’t come in my size? I feel like I need to keep adding more adult elegant pieces into my wardrobe and this skirt fits that to a t.
If this is your size I’d grab it!
I just bought these and I think they’re going to be my signature summer dress shoe. They’re nude so not only are they on trend they match pretty much everything and they elongate your legs.
Plus I have to say that they are shockingly comfortable, not that one should ever purchase shoes because they’re comfortable.
How timely, net-a-porter (the be all end all of internet fashion and shopping) has a TON of nude shoes. Clearly a bit more of an investment than the Steve Maddens but they’re high quality. I always am reminded (in a good way) that you get what you pay for when I wear a pair of Michael Koors wedges that are from like 4 years ago. They still look and feel AMAZING!
The net-a-porter mag has a whole article on nude fashion as well but my flash player and I are in a fight so you’ll have to seek it out yourself.
Sources inside Time Inc (InStyle, People, Real Simple) and ELLE’s parent company, Hachette Filipacchi, believe there is some credibility to the rumor that the crown jewel in the French publisher’s crown may be for sale. Particularly after departures of the two top executives there in the past six weeks: Carol Smith (former Senior Vice Pres/ Chief Brand Officer) to Conde Nast and Brent Allen (Vice President, Brand Development) to Hearst.
